Botox for Paul?

It's been a wild and crazy weekend here...first of all we taught a couple overgrown bushes who was boss.  That's right, I spent my weekend doing chores and yardwork with Paul!  Oh, the life.  After our hard work, paul and I decided to treat ourselves to The Melting Pot for dinner (thanks to a great giftcard, thanks mom & dad).  It was Paul's first time and he made a painful mistake.  The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant, Paul stuck his fondue fork and meat into the hot oil and then proceeded to eat the meat straight off the fork (even though our waiter warned him not to) now he has a couple blisters on his lips now and had to suck on ice for hours.  He's better today...but looks like he had a bad experience with Botex injections!  It's kinda funny...okay...it's really funny!

That's the life here in Nebraska!

Craziness!

Well, the last few weeks have been busy, crazy, and hot!

Day camp is over!  In the last two weeks I went to the Zoo, putt-putt, train museum, two movies, twice to the pool, go-karts, and had multiple water balloon fights!

Participated in a back to school drive and distribution for a few thousand kids

Made the crazy decision to have a community carnival...300 some odd people showed up...and there wasnt a cloud in the sky.  The weather should have been a blessing but we were melting for three hours!

And on top of it all...I am trying to cut back on my Starbucks addiction....Ahhhh!

We celebrated our first Anniversary in Kansas City...good times and memories!

Then...I thought I would have a break from craziness only to realize that my Olivet homeworkis due this Friday...ooops!

Stomp!

We took a group to the Luis Palau festival for a free Kirk Fanklin Concert.  It was pretty exciting.  One kid slept through the whole bass thumping thing!  I was shocked so I took a picture.  It was fun...I was almost tempted to 'get saved' all over again though..I mean a vacation to the Bahamas was better than the devotional I got from my DYS when I was saved as a teen!

Check it all out!

Yesterday's Mini-Adventure

Paul and I are settling in here in Omaha…our boxes have not arrived yet but they should be here this coming week.  We have found the closest Starbucks and are only one exit from a Super Wal-Mart…so things are lookin’ great!

Last night Paul wanted to go for a walk through our neighborhood (where we live)…I thought it might be boring but he was convinced it would be an ADVENTURE.  A stroll through the neighborhood isn’t usually my idea of adventure but I went along anyways.  And I have to admit that we saw many squirrels, tons of rabbits, three horses, and a wild turkey.  So, I guess it was a mini-adventure after all!
